— Joshua 1:8-9 NIV
Zoe’s theme of the day for her senior portrait session in Alton, Illinois was architecture! She chose most of the locations based on the architecture she loved, as she will be attending Southeast Missouri next year to study architecture! She’ll be graduating from Southwestern High School as the Class of 2021!
We visited several landmarks / areas in the old industrial river town, including First Presbyterian Church, Post Commons, St Paul Episcopal Church, State Street, Alton Transit Station, train tracks, a random brick road (no shortage of brick roads to choose from!), and a stone staircase overlooking the city with the Clark Bridge and Mississippi River drawing focus from the background. We also grabbed some photos at the grain silos by the river, where a thick red line serves as a reminder of the Great Flood of 1993.
Zoe was full of great ideas for her session! Her first was to create falling rose petals using an umbrella. Here’s where the brick road also comes in. 🌹😉 The second were shots on the train tracks. Despite Tiffany and I worrying whether we’d get in trouble for being on the train tracks and train cars, it was a success! 😂 We’ve got to hand it to her—she’s not afraid of climbing. Or falling. Or jumping. And we all had a blast doing these things while exploring Alton, Illinois!
Congratulations to Zoe, Class of 2021!!! 🎓🎊🥳
Of course we couldn’t end the night without capturing a few glowing sunset pictures!
