āFor it is plain as anyone can see, weāre simply meant to be.ā
ā Jack and Sally
Once upon a time, a charming young Midwest prince, Eric, met a beautiful, young princess, Nicole, one sunny afternoon while perusing what local villagers called āParty City marketā, down by the river in the South village… š
Their story began at Party City, so youād expect nothing less than a dreamy Disney-themed wedding! From royal blues, bright yellow sunflowers, and silvers to handmade, Disney movie-themed centerpieces unique to each table, it was an extra magical day! Eric and Nicole, we loved everything about your whimsical Disney fairytale!
We kicked off Eric and Nicoleās wedding day with getting ready pictures at the bridal suite in the girlsā hotel, before heading to The Oakland House to meet the Groom for their First Look! The Oakland House in South St Louis City is a historical country home built in 1853 that has been restored to its original self! The exterior of the original Oakland House was built with white limestone that had been quarried from the same property. The interior includes 12 ft. high ceilings, 24 inch thick walls, a fireplace in every room, a āfree standingā walnut staircase, and a watch tower. The Oakland House is truly a treasure and was the perfect venue for their first look and ceremony!
For those of you who caught Eric and Nicoleās engagement session blog post, youāve already met their super rad dog Hunter! š¶ If you remember, he helped them get this whole thing off the ground by playing a part in Ericās proposal! Of course, Hunter had to join us for wedding party pictures at the ruins at Tower Grove Park! We couldnāt do it without him, and he was so full of excitement and loved being included!
To top off Eric and Nicoleās dreamy Disney wedding day, they filled their reception at Royale Orleans with hints of Disney everywhere you looked. One of our favorite things ā The handcrafted centerpieces featuring a different Disney movie, beautifully displayed on each dinner table! Our favorite may have been the Pirates of the Caribbean centerpiece! The round center glass held sand, a pirates gold medallion necklace, and pearls. And you canāt represent pearls, treasure, and The Black Pearl without… Jack Sparrow! His silhouette stood proudly on a ship outside the glass jar. A+ on creativity, guys! šÆ Oh, and we just LOVED seeing everyone get in on the Disney songs!! Just like in the movies, everyone danced the night away… š And so, they lived happily ever after! ā¤ļø
Eric and Nicole, itās been a pleasure getting to know you! (And Hunter!) We absolutely loved every minute of your fairytale wedding day! šš° Congratulations, from the bottom of our hearts! š¾
