As we all know, life throws us curveballs. And the strongest will be the ones most prepared for difficult times. And what does one need to be among the strongest? 

A strong foundation. 

And you can’t get much stronger than the foundation that Toby and Kellene have already built!

They had the perfect wedding planned, down to the intimate details… but the COVID-19 pandemic had other plans, and forced them to rethink their wedding. But rather than rescheduling dates and venues, they chose to think outside the box and bought a home with land and hosted the wedding themselves! And it was a beautiful day for it! Their own little pocket in the woods of Mount Olive, Illinois provided a beautiful escape from the outside world and endless enjoyment of God’s wonderful nature. 

Chris’s favorite part of the wedding day might have been catering from The Brass Door (😂), but Kellene and Toby said they were most looking forward to dancing and drinking the night away as Mr & Mrs … and we can indeed confirm — it was a mission accomplished!!! (Yes, we have the crazy pictures to prove it! 🤫) Everyone got their boots down on the dance floor and were still going strong by the time we left! 

Toby and Kellene, your wedding day was perfect!! Thank you so much for inviting us to be a part of your engagement and wedding day stories. We wish you many beautiful, loving years. We know you’ll both grow old together and be one of those elderly couples that still are cute and mushy in love… because you’ve built that strong foundation during the tough times of a pandemic!
