We loved frolicking through the fields of sunflowers with Jake and Casey at Columbia Bottom Conservation Area! It’s near Spanish Lake, MO, just north of St. Louis, if you haven’t been! It’s a must-see. 😍  Especially on an evening during golden hour like we enjoyed with Jake and Casey!

It was one of our typical hot summer days, but believe it or not, we actually felt the air cool down with a life-saving breeze by the time golden hour set in over the fields. It was warm, but we were grateful we didn’t have to reschedule due to rain! Clear skies and soft sunset hues covering the sunflower fiends was all Jake and Casey needed to love their choice of sunflower fields for engagement pictures. Can’t get much better than that—eh? 🤗 🌅 They traveled over an hour from the Springfield, IL to bet on sunflowers! 🌻

The evening may have been full of lots of sweat bees and a lot of dust but they loved and laughed right through it. We led them through a few sunflower fields, some open greenery fields, and even stuck them in the middle of the road for a few quick shots, and still they laughed. 

Jake and Casey, you’re quite the perfect couple and we loved getting to meet and spend time with you. We can’t wait for your big day and wish you the best in between!
