Thinking warm thoughts here in chilly ole’ Saint Louis today. BRRR! Anyone else see the crazy frost this morning?? December is finally here just in time for Christmas! ☃️

Anyway, warm thoughts, warm thoughts! Imagine you’re on the beach celebrating your 6th dating anniversary. The sun is shining, waves crashing, and your BFF is right by your side. You smile left and look off to the right, feeling the ocean breeze, and a professional photographer’s camera clicks away in the background of your beach-side photography sesh. “Oh! Runners coming—I’ll readjust my settings til they’re past. The light changed on me!”, your photography exclaims. (Makes sense, right? No big deal. Photographers are always doing that anyway”, you think to yourself.)

Little did Jordan know her family and friends were congregating around her like a castle siege. But it wasn’t long before she realized she was surrounded and some man—oh, it was Aaron!—was down on one knee in front of her to propose. *AWW* 🥰

All of us photographers that shoot manual understand the constant readjusting shutter speed, ISO, and aperture due to how friendly the sun is that day (sometime’s (s)he’s rather shy), how many clouds came out to play, and all the different colored objects trying to bounce their colored light onto our PERFECT subjects!!! 😉 THE NERVE! Anyway — the takeaway is that we have to constantly be aware of our surroundings, which is more than Jordan can say at the site of her proposal! 😉 (JK Jordan! Hugs!!! ❤️😂).

Aaron, however you pulled off coordinating everyone coming into town, getting them onto the beach at that particular time and all without Jordan knowing…. MAJOR kudos, bruh! Major props! 💫 We seriously can’t get over how cute your proposal story is! And we can’t wait to see what you have in store for your wedding day. The venue you’ve chosen has to be one of the cutest wineries around, Hidden Lake Winery in Aviston, Illinois. 🍷 It’s tucked in rural Aviston, within what’s called, the Silent Forest. Believe it or not, they also have cabins on site if anyone is looking for a mini-getaway. 🏕
