On a windy Saturday afternoon, Hank and Ashleigh tied the knot in Michael, IL at a beautiful venue, amongst lots of loved ones and friends. There was no shortage of celebration as these two know how to bring out a crowd, and throw a party! 

Overall, there are many beautiful sights on the way to the venue, and if you’re heading to Mount Hope Barn from St. Louis, you’ll be taking a ferry!  Who can say they took a ferry on the way to a wedding??! It was a first for us! 🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏻‍♂️ While you’re traveling, you’ll definitely get your fair share of God’s beautiful countryside, views along the Illinois river, as well as many corn fields, stunning bluffs, and winding roads. The drive was beautiful. As we got closer to our destination, we hung a left at a popular, local neighborhood bar, went up a long hill, and then turned left onto a gravel road that opened up to the bridal suite, the farm’s orchards, views of a small pond, and a lovely red barn where the ceremony was held.

Throughout Hank and Ashleigh’s day there were lots of emotions, but the love that surrounded this couple was the most prominent of them all. As expected, there were a few tears shed during their sweet first look! We won’t let you in as to who, or where, but let’s just say “family”! 😉 Though, to no surprise, this sweet couple is dearly loved by many and are both well-known in their hometown area, so of course many traveled in to celebrate with them on their special day! 

After the ceremony, during another beautiful drive, only this time on the way to the reception, we captured a few quick sunset shots of the newlyweds, on top of Hank’s parents’ hilly fields — right when the sun was setting. Boy, did it light up the sky! (We included a few below 💗) Shortly thereafter, everyone met up for the reception at the Brussels Legion. While there was no telling how long they partied into the night, let’s just say it was still hopping when we left! We’re also fairly certain the whole town stopped by at some point to congratulate Hank and Ashley, because ya know, they are just that awesome!
