Meet Gavin and Rachel. They’re adorable, funny, giggly (ok maybe that’s Rachel more than Gavin 🤣), fun, lively, obsessed with each other, full of love, and are 100% best friends. It’s like they’re perfect for each other and should get married, right?? Oh wait….that’s why we’re here. 😉

We met Gavin and Rachel for the first time talking wedding photography over coffee at Germania Brew Haus in Alton, IL. If you know us, you know we love supporting love coffee shops, and this cute coffee shop is one of our favorites. We always swing in for a cup when we are in that area. If you’re up for a drive, it’s not far and we highly recommend trying whatever their featured cold brew is when you arrive. Otherwise, we hear the GBH is pretty great! Stick around for the cool atmosphere, too!

Starting the day off chatting over coffee was perfect and we loved hearing their story and more about their wedding day. Gavin loves outdoors, and Rachel is everything Disney, so we hit it off from the start. Gavin even popped the question in front of Cinderella Castle at Disney!! How AWESOME is that! Major kudos to you, Gavin. I’m still over here wishing I could have been a fly on the wall for that moment. 🥰

Their engagement session was just as much fun as our coffee date! We laughed, walked a lot, had a beautiful sunset glow, talked life, talked wedding, and even chatted about ice cream and our favorite foods. Turns out, you can often find them on a date night at their town’s local ice cream shack trying the “ice cream of the day”. It’s apparently a thing and it’s not ok to miss out on.

Gavin and Rachel, don’t ever stop being your amazing, goofy selves. You bring out the best in each other and are an incredible couple. See you next fall for your wedding day!! 🥂
